We are Vending Concepts, a vending resale and services company in the metroplex area, is now expanding our close-knit team. We are looking for a skilled Service Technician to repair and maintain vending machines, coffee systems and compressors on our premise and at customer sites. In addition, the Service Technician will ensure that the warehouse equipment and machinery is installed and maintained in good working condition. Additionally, the ability to perform minor repairs on fleet trucks is a major plus.

Job Duties :

Staging, Repairing and Maintaining Vending Machines, Commercial Coffee Machines:

• This skilled position will be responsible for set up, repair and rebuilding vending, coffee systems at customer accounts or at our warehouse.
• The position works with Route Drivers, customers and management to fix all support calls as quickly as possible.
• The position consists of refurbishing, rebuilding, repairing equipment and performing preventative maintenance as needed. This includes replacing old parts with new, transporting related parts such as compressors, etc.
• When staging equipment prior to delivery perform tasks such as setting prices, collecting accurate and complete equipment information and communicating with office staff.
• Maintain an inventory of requisite spare parts on hand in order to complete all maintenance in a timely manner.
• Maintain positive customer experience to resolve, follow up and follow through on all open support calls.

Moving Vending Machines, Commercial Coffee Machines and Water Filtration Systems:

• Move commercial coffee machines from or to customer sites using appropriate safety gear and by following work safety protocols.
• Load & unload commercial coffee machines from company-owned trucks.
• Load & unload vending equipment into freight trucks

Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Job Environment:

• The position will spend a mix of time in the warehouse, on the road and also on customer sites.

Job Specifications:

General:

• Be conscientious, diplomatic, detail-oriented and comfortable working in a structured environment.
• Ability to work with little or no supervision.
• This position requires working on vending machines weighing 800 -- 1200 pounds. Forklifts are used to lift equipment, but may be required to push, pull and move equipment. Also requires kneeling and squatting to work on equipment.
• Ability to stand, stoop, bend, kneel, push and pull frequently as required.
• Ability to operate moving equipment such as dollies, pallet jacks, hand carts, etc.
• Ability to remain calm in stressful situations (i.e. time pressures).
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team is essential.
• Possess good organizational and time management skills.

Technical skills:

• Ability to work with mechanical, electronic, cooling, electric and plumbing systems.
• This includes working knowledge of mechanical concepts, troubleshooting, diagnosing and repairing appliances, performing basic repairs in plumbing, circuits, fuses, and electrical components, operating hand tools and power tools, etc.
• Ability to work on basic refrigeration systems (e.g., understanding refrigeration cycle, Freon, compressors, evaporators, condensers, etc.).
• Ability to work on electrical systems (e.g., understanding flow, wiring, outlets, etc.).
• Ability to work on electronic systems (e.g. vending machine circuit boards, switches, fuses, etc).
• Ability to work with moving equipment (e.g., forklifts, hand trucks/dolly, etc.).
• Ability to work under stressful situations (e.g. unhappy customers, time pressures, etc).
