Description:

A School Bus Driver is in charge of providing safe transport for school children to get to and from school based on a schedule and route. Their duties include supervise children as they cross the street to enter or exit the bus, helping students load and unload the bus, learning which students take their route, greet and interact with the children on a daily basis trying to keep consistency.

Responsibilities include:

· Exercise great care at all times in the transportation of school children; take all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect students, employees, equipment, and property.

· Be attentive to traffic and weather conditions and ensure passenger safety.

· Report delays, accidents, and emergencies.

· Perform pre/post trip vehicle inspections to ensure it is in proper working order.

· Recognize and report any required bus maintenance promptly.

· Attend safety meetings as required

· Maintain the bus by keeping it clean, fueling it regularly, and recording mileage.

· Obey all traffic laws

· Observe the no idling policy.

· Assist students with getting on and off the bus as needed

· Ability to carry out assigned route on time

· Enforcing conduct and safety rules on the bus.

· Perform evacuation drills as directed.

· Perform a child check immediately after each run.

· Must possess or be willing to participate in training to obtain a Class B CDL Driver’s License with Passenger and School Bus Endorsement.

· Must participate and pass a pre-employment drug test and random drug/ alcohol testing throughout the term of employment.

· Must take and pass an annual DOT Physical

· Comply with all rules/regulations and company policies.

· Be reliable and dependable.

· Exercise mature judgement and sound decision making.

· Ability to respond to emergency and non-emergency situations.

Immediate opening for a School Bus driver in Milford, MA. Minimum of 20/22.5 hours per week. We offer flexible hours and time off during school breaks. Route rate varies by town. Preferred Applicants must have a MA Class B License, School Bus Certificate and CDL with Passenger Endorsement and "S" Endorsement. Must be able to pass a background check, pre-employment drug test and DOT physical.

Don't have a Class B CDL License but interested in working part time and having the same schedule as your child(ren)? No problem! We offer hands on training from start to finish in minimum time.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $27.50 - $29.50 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 22.5 per week
