We are seeking a dedicated Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in the food industry and possess a passion for culinary arts. This role involves assisting in meal preparation, ensuring food safety standards, and contributing to a positive kitchen environment.
*Duties*
Prepare ingredients for cooking, including chopping vegetables and butchering meat
Assist in cooking and assembling dishes according to recipes and quality standards
Maintain a clean and organized kitchen area
Monitor food levels and replenish supplies as needed
Follow proper food handling procedures and comply with food safety regulations
Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure timely and efficient meal service
*Requirements*
Valid Food handlers card
Previous experience in a restaurant, catering, or dietary department preferred
Knowledge of culinary techniques and meal preparation
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
Familiarity with kitchen equipment and utensils
Understanding of food safety practices and regulations
-Must be able to speak and read English to communicate with other staff members and read order tickets
-Must be able to lift 40lbs containers of food
