Role OverviewVenango Forge Soccer Club is seeking volunteer travel soccer coaches who are passionate about youth development, leadership, and the game of soccer. This role is ideal for former players, educators, parents, college students, and community members looking to give back while gaining meaningful coaching experience.
VFSC is committed to supporting coaches through education, mentorship, and player fee discounts, ensuring volunteers are equipped, supported, and valued throughout the season
- Lead 2–3 team practices per week using age-appropriate training plans
- Coach weekend travel games (home and away) within PA West league play
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and development-focused team culture
- Support player growth in skills, confidence, teamwork, and sportsmanship
- Communicate clearly with families and club leadership
- Uphold club policies, SafeSport standards, and player safety guidelines
- Player registration discounts for coaches with children enrolled in the program
- Free or subsidized coaching education and licensing support
- Mentorship from experienced coaches and club leadership
- Access to referee training pathways and broader soccer development opportunities
- A supportive, mission-driven club culture focused on long-term athlete development
- Opportunities for continued involvement and leadership within the club
- Soccer playing or coaching experience preferred, but not required
- Strong interest in youth development and positive coaching

- Practices: weekday evenings
