What are the responsibilities and job description for the Commercial Real Estate Paralegal position at Venable LLP?
Venable LLP’s Commercial Real Estate Group is seeking an experienced commercial real estate or transactional paralegal with a minimum of two years of experience to join the practice in the Washington, D.C., Tysons, or Baltimore office.
The qualified candidate is experienced in critical review and analysis of commercial real estate due diligence including title, survey, zoning, organizational documents and resolutions, and providing due diligence support to our finance and development teams in connection with potential acquisitions and disposition of properties. The qualified candidate has experience assisting with all legal requirements of a real estate development company, including preparation for annual shareholders’ meeting, SEC filings, dissemination of materials and required tax filings to investors, preparing subsidiary formation and authority documents, and maintaining annual report filings. We welcome applicants from other transactional law spaces who possess applicable skills.
The successful candidate is detail-oriented; is comfortable interfacing directly with title companies, surveyors, and opposing counsel; works well independently; has polished written and verbal communication skills; and excels at managing deadlines and multiple work streams. Proficient/advanced knowledge of Office Suite preferred.
