Service Technician

Job description:

Due to business needs all candidates must:

THE POSITION:

The New Vemco Music Company is in search of Service Technicians/Movers at our Valdosta, GA warehouse. ServiceTechnicians/Movers install equipment at new client locations and repair equipment in the warehouse or on-site at client locations.

This position would be a good fit for: someone who is looking for a full-time position where they can be an asset to company operation; a driven and responsible individual who is a problem-solver and people-person; enjoys a job that has routine but no two days are the same; someone who enjoys driving and interacting with others regularly.

Responsibilities:

- Safely and securely load equipment into pick-up trucks and box trucks

- Drive box trucks and other company vehicles to client locations

-Install new equipment - filling out necessary forms after completion

- Respond to local service calls according to urgency and make the necessary repairs on site - filling out necessary forms after completion

- Assess and repair broken/damaged equipment such as clearing coin jams, troubleshooting internet connection issues, replacing screen monitors, releasing stuck prizes, cleaning pool ball tracks, replacing game parts and monitors, run Cat5 cable, connect speaker wire, hang wall-mount jukeboxes, etc. (training provided)

- Work collaboratively to ensure overall upkeep, organization, and cleanliness of the warehouse

- Help warehouse manager ensure all company vehicle and maintenance are scheduled promptly

- perform other duties as assigned

REQUIRMENTS:

- Ability to easily lift 50-75lbs solo or team heavier equipment

- Must be mechanically inclined including experience with hand and power tools; use of volt/multimeter and small appliances/low-voltage equipment preferred

- Understands or learns new technology easily

- Critical thinker able to assess and perform repair on amusement equipment (training provided)

- Must have availability to work rotating on-call schedule for after-hours service calls once well trained (additional compensation)

- Comfortable talking to diverse clientele and has polished customer service skills

- Able to count money easily when necessary/have cash-handling experience

- Ability to read and write basic English

- Able to confidently and safely operate box trucks and other company vehicles (such as cars and pick-up trucks)

- Have a current Georgia driver's license and clean driving record

- Able to pass pre-employment and random drug tests

- Able to pass background check

- Nice to have: in-depth knowledge of electronics; experience with Cat5 wiring and installation a plus; use of volt-ohm meter
