Velvet Hammer - a stealth romantasy brand built for readers who've spent thousands of hours lost in these worlds. We're not outsiders trying to capitalize on BookTok - we're the ones staying up until 3am to finish ACOTAR, pre-ordering every special edition, and genuinely believing these books changed our lives.

We're creating products for the reading ritual that every romantasy fan knows is sacred. As experienced founders who've built successful brands before, we know how to execute - but more importantly, we deeply understand this community because we ARE this community. Launching late 2025.

You’ll be the co-pilot bringing this to life online: capturing the story, shaping the voice, and creating content that spreads through BookTok, wellness TikTok, and beyond.

WHAT YOU’LL OWN:

Be a Visible Face of the Brand

• Regularly appear on our Instagram and TikTok - from taste tests and “cozy reading night” vibes to trend commentary and fantasy-coded rituals
• Think of yourself as the relatable co-host and social face of Velvet Hammer

Weekly Content & Podcast Production

• Be present in LA each week for shoots and/or podcast tapings
• Own the run-of-show: prep topics, structure segments, manage timing
• Capture raw footage on set
• Lead post-production: cut full episodes, create highlight reels, and edit cutdowns for TikTok, IG Reels, and YouTube Shorts

Content Creation & Editing

• Film recipe videos, reading rituals, community moments, and cultural commentary
• Edit into ad-ready content for paid campaigns and organic channels
• Repurpose long-form content into short-form clips optimized by platform

Creator Network & Partnerships

• Help manage a curated roster of BookTok wellness creators
• Guide them on formats, hooks, and storytelling that actually convert

SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE…

• Organic content that consistently performs (shares, saves, stitches, duets, comments)
• Episodes/ritual content with strong reach and social cutdowns that go wide
• Ad-ready clips pulled directly from organic hits
• Velvet Hammer positioned as the brand that connects wellness with the romantasy community

YOU’RE PERFECT IF…

• You’re confident both on camera and behind the camera
• You know how to build a run-of-show and keep a shoot/podcast on track
• Video editing excites you - CapCut, Edits, Final Cut, or Premiere Pro wizardry
• You dominate Instagram, TikTok, and know how to optimize content for each
• You understand book/fantasy culture and wellness culture - you live on BookTok but also know your way around adaptogens and hydration hacks
• You’re based in LA and excited to be hands-on, in person weekly
