Veltex Recovery Group is seeking a compassionate, motivated, and clinically driven Case Manager to join our women’s residential substance use disorder treatment team. This position plays a critical role in helping clients heal, grow, and rise through individualized treatment planning, supportive counseling, and coordinated care.
The ideal candidate will possess strong knowledge of substance use disorder treatment, ASAM criteria, Medicaid documentation standards, and client-centered recovery planning in a residential treatment environment.
Position Responsibilities
- Facilitate psychoeducational and process groups within a residential substance use treatment setting
- Provide supportive individual and group counseling sessions
- Complete biopsychosocial assessments and develop individualized treatment plans based on medical necessity and client-centered goals
- Maintain treatment plans in compliance with West Virginia Medicaid 504 Provider Manual requirements
- Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions to support relapse prevention, coping skills development, emotional regulation, and sustainable recovery
- Coordinate care with clinical staff, medical providers, community agencies, and outside referral sources
- Participate in discharge planning and continuity-of-care coordination
- Maintain timely, accurate, and compliant clinical documentation
- Collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary treatment team
- Transport or assist clients when necessary in accordance with program operations
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Human Services, Sociology, or related Social Sciences field required
- Substance abuse treatment experience preferred
- Experience in behavioral health or residential treatment preferred
- Strong understanding of ASAM Criteria and levels of care
- Knowledge of treatment planning, documentation standards, and Medicaid medical necessity requirements
- Understanding of the West Virginia Medicaid 504 Provider Manual strongly preferred
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to build therapeutic rapport with clients in recovery
- Valid driver’s license required
Employment Requirements
- Successful completion of pre-employment and random drug screening
- Successful completion of West Virginia Cares background investigation
- Ability to maintain professionalism, boundaries, and confidentiality in a residential treatment environment
