Job Description
A leading acute care hospital in Miami, FL is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to join its patient care team. This facility is a Level I Adult and Pediatric Trauma Center, a Joint Commission-certified Thrombectomy-Capable Stroke Center, and home to one of only five American Burn Association-verified Burn Centers in Florida.
As a Respiratory Therapist, you will assess and treat patients with respiratory disorders, administer oxygen therapy and aerosol medications, assist with airway management, and monitor patients receiving mechanical ventilation. You will work closely with physicians and the healthcare team to provide exceptional patient care.
Responsibilities
- Perform respiratory assessments and document findings
- Administer oxygen therapy and respiratory treatments
- Monitor and maintain mechanical ventilation
- Assist with airway management and emergency interventions
- Evaluate patient response to therapy
- Transport ventilator-dependent patients when necessary
- Collaborate with physicians and healthcare staff
Requirements
- Associate Degree or completion of a Vocational Respiratory Therapy Program
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) credential
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification required within 30 days of hire
- Strong clinical and patient care skills
