Velocity Vehicle Group (VVG) is looking for a Shop Foreman to join our team for following hours: Monday-Friday 6:00am-4:00pm
What You'll Do:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced
Shop Foreman
to oversee the daily operations of our automotive service shop. The Shop Foreman will be responsible for managing technicians, ensuring high-quality workmanship, maintaining a safe and organized work environment, and providing exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in a leadership role within the automotive industry, strong technical expertise, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to safety and efficiency.
Job Duties:
- Keep advisors informed of truck progress.
- Ensure quality control inspections are completed successfully.
- Make informed warranty decisions.
- Determine warranty coverage accurately.
- Minimize repair comebacks.
- Assist with complex repairs and seek support from district service managers as needed.
- Coordinate and assign daily workload for technicians.
- Dispatch work assignments daily.
- Support technicians in meeting productivity and efficiency goals.
- Implement disciplinary actions when necessary.
- Mentor team leaders to develop leadership skills.
- Conduct safety meetings and trainings to ensure compliance.
- Ensure the shop meets all local, state, and federal safety regulations.
- Perform regular inspections to maintain shop safety and security.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization within the shop.
Job Qualifications & Requirements:
- Prior experience as a Shop Foreman in the trucking industry preferred.
- Previous management or supervisory experience required.
- Strong leadership abilities.
- Demonstrated technical expertise.
- Excellent customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective collaboration with internal and external customers.
- Must be able to lift up to 50lbs.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to pass post offer drug test, physical and background check
Compensation:
- Exempt $50K-$60K/year (depending on experience and qualifications)
- Plus Commission
- Full Time position
