This role will play a vital role in supporting technical operations. Correcting minor vehicle deficiencies; adjusting, alignments and replacements at the direction of Management. Work to progress into the next level of technician for SVT Fleet.

What You’ll Do:
SVT Fleet Technician-Entry Level; maintains the fleet operation by completing inspections in accordance with Federal, State and Corporate guidelines. This role will play a vital role in supporting technical operations. Correcting minor vehicle deficiencies; adjusting, alignments and replacements at the direction of Management. Work to progress into the next level of technician for SVT Fleet.
Principal Responsibilities:
- Determines vehicle condition by conducting Preventive Maintenance Inspections; oil changes; chassis lubrication and identifying worn and damaged parts. Inspections to be performed both in the shop and remotely to customer needs.
- Performs campaigns, install components, and part upgrades as directed.
- Performs light repairs and corrects vehicle deficiencies by removing, repairing, adjusting, assembling, disassembling components, parts, or systems. Areas to include lighting, expendable equipment, air and electrical lines.
- Verifies vehicle performance by conducting test drives, adjusting controls and systems.
- Performs tire repairs, replacements, rotations, mounting and dismounting on and off of vehicles as needed.
- Complies with federal and state vehicle requirements by testing engine, safety, and emission control standards.
- Maintains vehicle appearance by cleaning, washing, and painting. Keeps shop Service Trucks and equipment operating by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; maintaining supplies; performing preventive maintenance; calling for repairs.
- Controls costs by using warranty; evaluating service and parts options.
- Keeps supplies ready by inventorying stock; placing orders; verifying receipt.
- High School Diploma or its equivalent; relevant technical certifications or vocational training is a plus.
- Post-Secondary vocational education strongly preferred.
- 1 years’ experience in mechanical inspections and repairs in a related field
- Must have a valid Driver’s License and the ability to obtain a CDL within 120 days of hire.
- Ability to follow technical instructions and guidelines accurately and understand plus adhere to Company Policies in all areas.
- Ability to follow all written and oral instructions, attention to detail, dependability, verbal communication, documentation skills, inventory control, job knowledge.
- Ability to always implement and work in a strong safety environment.
- Strong interest in and aptitude for technical work. Capacity to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
- Must be able to pass post-offer drug screening, physical examination (including a lift test), and background check
- $24-$29/hour depending on experience and qualifications
