Role Description This full-time, on-site IT Hardware/Software Technician role is based in the Brooklyn Center, MN. The technician will install, configure, and maintain computer hardware, operating systems, and business applications across client environments. Daily responsibilities include providing technical support to end users, diagnosing and resolving hardware and software issues, performing routine maintenance, and documenting incidents and resolutions. The role also involves assisting with equipment deployments, upgrades, and asset tracking, as well as collaborating with other IT team members to support infrastructure modernization initiatives. The technician will follow security and compliance standards, ensure minimal downtime, and deliver clear communication to stakeholders regarding system status and service requests.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Technical Support and Troubleshooting skills to diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues efficiently.
- Candidates should possess Software Installation and configuration skills, including experience with operating systems and common business applications.
- Candidates should possess Analytical Skills to evaluate issues, identify root causes, and recommend effective solutions.
- Candidates should possess clear Communication skills for interacting with end users, documenting work, and collaborating with team members.
- Experience with PC hardware, peripherals, and network connectivity (LAN/WAN, Wi-Fi) is beneficial.
- Familiarity with ticketing systems, ITIL-based processes, and asset management tools is preferred.
- Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A , Network , or similar credentials are a plus.
- Ability to lift and move equipment as needed and to work on-site across varying environments in the Greater Tampa Bay Area.
