Job Title: Powersports Mechanic / Technician
Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Powersports Mechanic to join our team. This role is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of powersports vehicles, including motorcycles, ATVs, UTVs, personal watercraft, and snowmobiles. The ideal candidate has strong technical expertise, a passion for powersports, and a commitment to delivering high-quality service. Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues on a variety of powersports vehicles.
- Perform routine maintenance services such as oil changes, tune-ups, tire changes, and brake inspections.
- Troubleshoot and repair engine, transmission, suspension, and fuel systems.
- Use diagnostic tools and equipment to identify problems and ensure accurate repairs.
- Maintain detailed service records and communicate repair needs and timelines to service advisors and customers.
- Stay current on manufacturer updates, technical service bulletins, and new technologies in the powersports industry.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Qualifications:
- 2 years of experience as a powersports, motorcycle, or small engine mechanic (dealership experience preferred).
- Certification from a recognized program (e.g., MMI, OEM certifications) is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and fuel systems for powersports vehicles.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagnostic tools.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Valid driver’s license; motorcycle endorsement preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
