Job Summary
The Plastic Process Technician Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily operations of plastic processing equipment and personnel, ensuring efficient production, high-quality output, and adherence to safety standards. This role leads process technicians, supports troubleshooting, and drives continuous improvement in injection molding or related plastic manufacturing processes.

Job Summary
The Plastic Process Technician Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily operations of plastic processing equipment and personnel, ensuring efficient production, high-quality output, and adherence to safety standards. This role leads process technicians, supports troubleshooting, and drives continuous improvement in injection molding or related plastic manufacturing processes.
Main Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate activities of plastic process technicians and production staff.
- Set up, monitor, and optimize plastic processing equipment (injection molding machines)
- Troubleshoot process, material, and equipment issues to minimize downtime
- Ensure all production meets quality standards and specifications
- Monitor cycle times, scrap rates, and overall equipment efficiency (OEE)
- Train, coach, and develop technicians on proper processing techniques and safety procedures
- Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, and company policies
- Collaborate with maintenance, quality, and engineering teams to resolve issues
- Assist in new mold trials, process validation, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Maintain accurate production and process documentation
- Support scheduling and staffing to meet production demands
- High school diploma or GED required, technical degree or certification preferred
- 5 years of experience in plastic processing (injection molding preferred)
- 2 years of supervisory or leadership experience
- Strong knowledge of molding processes, materials, and troubleshooting techniques
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Leadership and team development
- Process optimization and troubleshooting
- Attention to detail and quality focus
- Time management and organizational skills
- Mechanical aptitude
- Manufacturing environment with exposure to heat, noise, and moving machinery
- Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the facility for extended periods
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs as needed
- May require off-shift, weekend, or on-call support
