Position Overview:
We are seeking a Buyer / Planner – Manufacturing & Sourcing to support production planning, purchasing, supplier coordination, and manufacturing scheduling activities for a growing advanced manufacturing operation supporting medical, electronics, and high-tech industries.
This role is heavily focused on hands-on manufacturing planning and production execution within a discrete manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have direct experience supporting factory production schedules, ERP/MRP planning, supplier coordination, material flow management, and manufacturing operations.
This is a fully onsite role supporting a collaborative, fast-paced manufacturing environment with strong cross-functional interaction across production, engineering, operations, quality, and supply chain teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Release and process purchase orders and work orders
- Support production planning and manufacturing scheduling activities
- Coordinate supplier performance, delivery schedules, and material availability
- Support ERP/MRP planning activities and maintain planning data accuracy
- Coordinate material flow activities tied directly to production schedules
- Partner with production, operations, quality, and engineering teams to support manufacturing execution
- Analyze supplier capabilities, lead times, and delivery risks
- Qualify and onboard new suppliers
- Assist with supplier communication, negotiations, and issue resolution
- Maintain accurate planning parameters, lead times, and purchasing data
- Support inventory planning and continuous improvement initiatives
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Business, or related field preferred
- 3 years of manufacturing planning or production planning experience required
- 5 years preferred
- Direct discrete manufacturing planning/scheduling experience required
- ERP/MRP experience required
- SAP experience strongly preferred
- Experience supporting production schedules and manufacturing execution
- Strong communication and analytical skills
- Ability to work cross-functionally within a manufacturing environment

- APICS certification preferred

- Supplier sourcing and negotiation experience

Schedule & Travel:
- Monday–Thursday (4x10 schedule)

Compensation & Benefits:

Salary : $100,000 - $115,000
