Duties
- Assist with the preparation and setup of construction sites, including unloading materials and organizing tools
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment such as concrete mixers, concrete pumps, and saws to support construction activities
- Perform concrete pouring, finishing, cutting, and formwork construction following detailed blueprints and schematics
- Install rebar, metal studs, drywall, stucco, tile, flooring, and other materials for various building phases
- Read and interpret construction plans, blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to ensure accurate execution of tasks
- Follow all safety protocols related to construction workplace safety regulations to maintain a secure environment for everyone on-site
- Support heavy lifting tasks and operate heavy machinery when required for large-scale projects such as restoration or new builds
Qualifications
- Prior experience working on construction projects or in a similar labor-intensive environment is highly desirable
- Mechanical knowledge related to construction tools and equipment operation is a plus but we can train.
- Ability to interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately
- Familiarity with construction estimating processes and understanding of construction plans is advantageous
- Knowledge of masonry, carpentry, plastering, caulking, renovation techniques, and drywall installation is preferred
- Comfortable performing heavy lifting and working in physically demanding conditions while adhering to safety regulations
- Strong communication skills with the ability to follow detailed instructions and work effectively within a team
