Job Description
At Velociti Floor Technicians are responsible for the overall floor maintenance of hard surfaces and carpet (stripping, waxing, buffing, shampooing, extraction & bonneting) of areas that include offices, corridors, lobbies, entrances, stairwells, and other public places such as break rooms.
Success Criteria
To perform the necessary functions and tasks of the job, you are required to: Stand 33%, Walk >66%, Sit Use of hands to finger, handle, rub, grip, and feel Reach above shouldersPush/pull and grasp with hands and arms 33-50% Climb or balance <33% Stoop, Kneel, Crouch, or Crawl <33%Perform repetitive tasks Must be able to push and pull a minimum of 30 pounds Must be able to lift a minimum of 10 to 50 pounds Frequently lift 0-10 pounds Must be able to work under pressure and time deadlines during peak periods

- Willingness to take directions from the Facility Manager, Key Account Manager, or District Manager
- Coordinate activities with other internal departments
- Participate in team meetings
- High School diploma or equivalent education.
- Minimum 1 year experience in floor care.
- Knowledge of how to strip, wax, and burnish floors with minimal to no assistance.
- Knowledge and experience operating various pieces of equipment such as high-speed buffers, extractors, wet vacs, pressure washers, and auto scrubbers.
- Janitorial or laborer experience in a facility setting is preferred.
- Must be a team player and committed to working in a quality environment.
- Demonstrates exceptional customer service skills.
- Perform preventative maintenance checks on all equipment before use
- Before beginning work, secure the work area and post safety notices for other space users.
- Floors care, including routine mopping (dry and damp), buffing, and burnishing on hard surface floors and stairwells.
- Vacuuming, shampooing, bonneting, and extracting carpets, stairwells, and upholstery
- Wall cleaning
- Dusting (high and low)
- Routine restroom cleaning
- Routine office and break room cleaning
- Maintenance of floor care equipment
