Electronic Technician

Job Description

Velociti Services is seeking an Electronic Technician to maintain and repair electronic access and security systems at a secured Government site, ensuring continuous 24/7/365 operation.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and ensure optimal functionality of door access card readers, automated vehicle gates, CCTV cameras, security consoles, and intercom paging systems
• Perform weekly and monthly preventive maintenance to keep systems operating at full efficiency
• Respond to emergency calls and perform urgent repairs outside normal hours as needed
• Service and troubleshoot a wide range of electronic and automated security (EAS) systems, including:
• Automatic door openers and electric gate operators
• Central controllers and related hardware
• Fiber-optic cabling, transceivers, and mode converters
• Fire recall and intercom systems
• Magnetic door locks, modems, power converters, and power supplies
• Public address systems, relays, switches, and transformers
• Security card readers, wiring, video cameras, and related hardware
• Perform calibration, maintenance, and repair down to the electronic component level
  

Requirements

• Minimum five (5) years’ experience maintaining and repairing complex control systems
• Ability to read and interpret electronic schematics and perform detailed electronic system repairs
  
  

Applicant Requirements

• Valid NJ Driver’s License
• Ability to respond to security access issues outside normal hours (card readers, gates, cameras)
• Must pass government background investigation
• Must pass drug test prior to hire
• Strong computer skills
• Ability to work at heights using man lift equipment
