Responsibilities
- Monitor pool activity continuously to prevent accidents and respond swiftly to emergencies
- Enforce safety rules and regulations to ensure a safe environment for all swimmers and guests
- Perform routine pool maintenance including cleaning, chemical testing, and adjusting water chemistry to ensure optimal water quality
- Conduct regular inspections of pool equipment and surrounding areas to identify maintenance needs or hazards
- Provide exceptional guest services by assisting swimmers, answering questions, and ensuring a positive experience
- Respond promptly to emergencies with appropriate first aid or CPR procedures when necessary
- Assist with pool area cleanliness, including removing debris and maintaining pool cleaning schedules
- Ensure prompt arrival to assist in opening procedure with other Staff Members.
Skills
- Proven lifeguard experience with current certification in CPR and First Aid
- Strong swimming skills with the ability to perform water rescues confidently
- Knowledge of pool maintenance procedures and safety protocols
- Excellent guest service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor
- Ability to perform heavy lifting when handling equipment or cleaning supplies
- Basic understanding of pool cleaning techniques and chemical handling
- Vigilant, responsible, and able to stay alert during long periods of surveillance
