Grinder Operator (Nights only)

Job Description 

Responsible for grinding PVC lineals that are outside VEKA’s specifications. 

Duties and Responsibilities: 

• Responsible for grinding off standard PVC lineals 

• Ensures all grinded lineals are clean and free of weather strip or other contamination. 

• Properly operates grinder within operating parameters and safety requirements. 

• Maintains excellent housekeeping in grinding area. 

• Operates forklift to move full and empty racks in and out of grinding room. 

• Wears all required PPE for grinder operation. 

• All other duties as assigned.           

Skills: 

• Mechanical aptitude 

• Dependable and punctual  

• Ability to work independently and with accuracy  

• Drive to take initiative 

• Good oral communication skills  

• Good collaboration skills in a tactful and diplomatic manner 

Education: 

• High School Diploma or equivalent required 

• Certified Forklift Operator license required
