Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and professional Mobile Phlebotomist to join our healthcare team. This role involves traveling to patient locations to perform blood collection and specimen processing in a compassionate and efficient manner. Duties
- Perform blood draws and specimen collection using proper venipuncture techniques while maintaining aseptic procedures
- Collect, process, and label specimens accurately according to laboratory protocols
- Obtain vital signs and assess patient condition as needed during visits
- Ensure patient comfort and provide clear instructions regarding specimen collection procedures
- Maintain accurate documentation of all procedures performed
- Follow strict safety and infection control protocols, including proper handling of specimens and use of PPE
- Transport specimens securely to designated laboratories for analysis
- Communicate effectively with patients, caregivers, and healthcare providers to ensure quality care delivery
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of collection equipment and supplies during mobile visits
Requirements
- Proven experience in laboratory procedures, venipuncture, blood sampling, and specimen processing
- Strong knowledge of laboratory techniques, clinical laboratory practices, and medical terminology
- Prior experience in patient service roles within hospital or clinical settings preferred
- Knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and vital signs measurement techniques
- Ability to perform phlebotomy with precision using aseptic technique
- Excellent communication skills with a compassionate approach to patient care
- Valid certification or training in phlebotomy or related laboratory techniques preferred
- Ability to work independently in various environments while maintaining high standards of safety and accuracy
- Must possess a valid driver’s license for travel between patient locations

Please be aware, this is not a full-time position. This is an occasional, PRN, independent contractor, side-hustle type position, for already practicing mobile phlebotomists, preferably for those who have their own supplies and equipment, and are ready to start taking draw assignments right away when hired. Pay is by the DRAW, not by the hour. The rate is $25-$40 /draw mileage reimbursement after 35 miles.
Requirements:
1) A minimum of 2 years or 200 draws of phlebotomy experience in order to be able to handle potentially difficult draw situations out in the field with no back up.
2) Three professional phlebotomy references who can vouch for your skills & professionalism in a work environment
3) A phlebotomy training certificate, national certificate by testing, or medical diploma from a program that included phlebotomy training. If you do not have any of these, then a 4th professional phlebotomy reference can be used as a substitute
4) Availability on weekday mornings or afternoons any time
5) Having your own supplies & equipment is preferred in order to speed up onboarding and start time, but is not required. Let me know if you do so I know that you can start taking draw assignments right away when hired
