What are the responsibilities and job description for the Physician Liaison position at Vein Specialist Centers?
The Vein Specialist Centers in Long Island is looking for a Physician Liaison to create demand for our services by implementing marketing strategies and promoting our growing practices. In this role you will connect with local Physicians offices and engage directly with consumers through local promotional events. This position requires that the Physician Liaison maintains a current working knowledge of the services provided by the Vein Specialist Centers and be able to effectively communicate the benefits and value of our services to physicians and consumers.
Key Responsibilities
- The Medical Sales Representatives will drive sales results through superior consultative selling skills to meet and exceed all performance goals.
- Drive new patient volume through field-based efforts and outbound efforts such as phone calls to referring physician offices and non-referral event coordinators.
- Identify territory opportunities and challenges and subsequently develop and implement strategies via territory business plans to positively influence new patient volume and referral growth.
- The Medical Sales Representative should communicate initial strategy for all new pipeline opportunities and work with Director on how to advance all such opportunities through the sales cycle.
- Educate at a high level of proficiency on Vein Specialist Centers services and clinical advances, as well as all related disease state(s) and competitive differences
- Foster long-term relationships with referring practices.
- Seek out and identify local marketing events and opportunities, i.e. health and wellness fairs. Participate in health fairs, conventions, training programs and other local events.
- Establish and maintain relationships with physicians and health providers in target account base through calls, daily "breakfast and learns" and "lunch and learns", and physician co-marketing.
- Analyze market trends and competitor activities to identify new business opportunities.
- Act as a liaison between physicians and our organization to ensure smooth communication and resolve any issues or concerns.
Requirements
- Minimum 1-2 years sales/marketing experience in pharmaceuticals, medical devices, or healthcare services. Experience in vein marketing is very favorable.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively produce business results. Ability to clearly and effectively communicate ideas and data both verbally and in writing.
- Strong interpersonal skills. The ability to develop and maintain strong physician/client relationships.
- Strong organizational skills. The willingness and ability to maintain accurate and detailed records of appointments, sales calls, and follow-up.
- Time management skills. The ability to set priorities and establish a workflow to accomplish day-to-day tasks in a timely manner.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Existing relationships with physicians, ACOs, and healthcare facilities.
- Competitive base pay with potential for performance bonuses

Pay: $65,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
