Treatment Plan Coordinator / Check Out Receptionist
Pay: $16–$18 per hour (based on experience)
Schedule: Full-Time | Monday–Friday, 8:30am-5pm
Location: 6169 US Hwy 98, Ste 30, Hattiesburg, MS
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Treatment Plan Coordinator / Check Out Receptionist to join our Hattiesburg and D'Iberville office staff. This position plays a key role in ensuring a seamless patient experience by coordinating treatment plans, verifying insurance benefits, and supporting an efficient check-out and scheduling process.
The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and experienced in a procedure-based clinical setting with strong insurance knowledge.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and finalize all patient appointments and treatment schedules at check-out.
- Review, explain, and communicate treatment plans to patients in a clear and professional manner.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Verify insurance benefits, eligibility, and coverage for recommended treatments.
- Assist with billing processes, including accurate documentation and ICD-10 coding.
- Utilize electronic health record (EHR) and medical scheduling/billing software.
- Collaborate with physicians and clinical staff to ensure smooth clinical workflow and high-quality patient care.
- Travel between the Hattiesburg and D'Iberville offices required. TAX-FREE, Monthly Travel Allowance Provided.
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of proven experience as a Treatment Plan Coordinator (or equivalent role) in a procedure-based clinical setting (required).
- Strong, proven insurance knowledge (required).
- Proficiency in medical terminology (required).
- Experience with ICD-10 coding and medical billing practices (preferred).
- Familiarity with EHR systems and medical scheduling software.
- Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while delivering exceptional patient service.
