Job Title: Patrol Supervisor

About the Role:
As a Safety Patrol Supervisor (SSP), you’ll support daily operations that keep Colorado’s highways safe and running smoothly. This role works closely with CDOT to coordinate field teams, respond to roadway incidents, assist motorists, and help maintain steady traffic flow.
It’s a hands-on position that blends team support, fleet coordination, and real-time problem-solving in a fast-paced environment. This is a good fit for someone who stays organized under pressure, communicates well, and values safety and teamwork.
Required Certifications:
- Ability to pass SSP DOT on-the-job training
- Ability to obtain CPR/AED/First Aid Certification
- TIM’s Certification (completed during training)
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience in transportation management, fleet operations, or related field.
- Working knowledge of DOT regulations
- Strong communication and coordination skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree
- Transportation Safety Experience
- Experience with fleet management software and logistics tracking systems.
- Prior leadership experience in transportation or field operations.
Responsibilities:
- Support daily field and fleet operations while ensuring DOT compliance and safety standards
- Coordinate fleet maintenance and repairs to minimize downtime
- Provide guidance and support to drivers and field personnel
- Communicate with CDOT and internal teams to ensure smooth operations
- Monitor performance, address issues in real time, and maintain service quality
- Assist with budget awareness and cost control efforts
