What are the responsibilities and job description for the SUB Crew Leader - Culver City Crossroads position at Veggie Grill Inc?
OUR PURPOSE

TASKS
- Be a leader in all stations of the restaurant: prep, dish, cashier, expo, grill, line and beverage.
- Opens, transitions and closes the restaurant and stations for daily operations.
- Operate kitchen equipment to complete food preparations according to specified recipes.
- Maintain food safety at all time, including rotation of food products, and adhering to food safety standards
Knowledgeable about our menu and is able to share this knowledge with our Guests. Answers the phone with enthusiasm and a smile; processing orders politely and accurately.- Adhering to cash handling rules, uses a computerized cash register to process Guest orders accurately. Returns accurate change and maintains accountability for the till and collected cash; counts down their tills at the end of the shift.
- Following Stand-Up Burger standards, packs and hands-off take-out orders, calls out finished orders to guests from the Kitchen area to a waiting Guests.
Uses a commercial dishwasher, manual washing of items in a three-compartment sink following all safety protocols- Maintenance of food and equipment storage areas, floors, walls and equipment; taking out trash and recyclable items; and food preparation tasks as assigned.
- Maintains a friendly and service-focused attitude throughout the shift.
- Maintains our appearance standards and dress code.
- Communicates clearly and respectfully with Guests and other crew members.

Work Attire

Physical Demands
- While performing the duties of the job the Team Member is regularly required to stand and walk for extended periods of time and bend and twist at the waist
- Team Member is required to frequently speak and to hear
- Occasionally required to lift and carry up to 25 pounds
- Use of hands to grasp tools such as a knife, spatula, ladle, and other utensils to prepare food
- Repetitive hand use
- Reaching for items below waist level (retrieving food items from walk-in cooler or drawers), between waist and shoulder level (washing dishes, placing plates on shelf), and above shoulder (retrieving plates or containers from shelves)
- Exposure to extreme cold (walk-in cooler), extreme heat (stove, oven), moisture (water, steam, dishwasher), and dust, fumes, or chemicals (cleaning solutions)
