What are the responsibilities and job description for the Host & Counter Team Member position at Veggie Galaxy?
Veggie Galaxy (www.veggiegalaxy.com) is an award-winning 90-seat Vegetarian Diner and Vegan Bakery located in Central Square, Cambridge, MA.
We are looking for customer oriented, high energy and enthusiastic go-getters with a love of people and knack for service. As a Front of House Team Member, you will trained to work both our front counter and host positions.
When working our front counter, you will be a master of multi-tasking -- making frappes, pouring drinks, plating desserts, running those drinks and desserts to tables, restocking, answering phones, taking takeout orders, all while maintaining a positive attitude and providing great hospitality to our guests.
As a host, you will be the first impression that our guests will have of the restaurant, setting the tone for the remainder of their experience. You will also control the flow of the entire restaurant by monitoring table rotation, setting wait time expectations, and seating guests in appropriate sections to manage flow for Servers. You must be able to do all of this while maintaining a great attitude and great smile. You are the first and last friendly staff member greeting and thanking our guests.
