Our busy dental practice is searching for a personable and friendly patient care coordinator to join us. Responsibilities for this role include entering patient information onto our data system, answering patients’ questions, verifying insurance benefits and helping us keep our patients healthy by scheduling them for regular care.
To be successful in this role, organization and multitasking is important. Ultimately, performing all duties in a manner that ensures the efficiency of the dental practice.
Front Office Duties & Responsibilities
- Greeting and welcoming patients to the practice
- Scheduling appointments
- Assisting patients with completing forms
- Preparing patients’ charts and daily schedules
- Updating patients’ records and documenting recent treatments and procedures
- Communicating with insurance companies
- Verifying methods of payment and collecting payments as needed
- Performing general office duties, such as answering telephones, scanning and emailing
Front Office Requirements
- At least 2 years of dental office experience is beneficial
- Certification in office administration, medical administration, or related fields is beneficial
- Excellent customer service skills
- Sound knowledge of dental terminology
- Proficient in dental practice management software
- Good telephone etiquette
- Exceptional organizational skills
- Proficient in Spanish is beneficial
