Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Carpenter / Laborer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various carpentry techniques and construction practices. This role involves working on a variety of projects, including residential and commercial construction, renovations, and restorations. The Carpenter / Laborer will be responsible for executing tasks with precision and attention to detail while adhering to safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Perform frame carpentry, trim carpentry, and cabinet installation as required by project specifications
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction documents to determine project requirements
- Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively for various tasks including cutting, shaping, and assembling materials
- Engage in concrete forming, rebar installation, and masonry work as needed
- Conduct water damage restoration and mold remediation tasks with care
- Execute fixture installation, door hanging, and siding applications
- Assist in roofing projects and flooring installation including tile laying
- Maintain a clean and organized work area while ensuring compliance with safety protocols
- Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines efficiently
Qualifications
- Proven experience in construction or the restoration industry is preferred
- Strong skills in woodworking, caulking, plastering, and construction painting
- Familiarity with CNC machinery and fabrication processes is a plus
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as required by job duties
- Knowledge of plumbing and electrical systems is advantageous
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail in all tasks performed
- Strong communication skills to work effectively within a team environment
- A valid driver's license may be required for transportation to job sites
