What are the responsibilities and job description for the Field Service Technician - Denver, CO position at VEGA Americas and Careers?
Due to our continued growth, VEGA Americas has an opening for a Field Service Technical Support person. This position will regularly travel to client sites around the Denver market ~50% and overnight travel outside the Denver, CO market up to 50% at times.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

- Install new or modified equipment at customer's facility to ensure full functionality according to specifications.
- Prepare radioactive material for shipment.
- Reviews performance reports and documentation from customers and field representatives, and inspects malfunctioning or damaged product to determine nature and scope of problem.
- Requires overnight travel up to 50% at times.
- Analyzes review and inspection findings to determine source of problem, and recommends repair, replacement, or other corrective action.
- Coordinate problem resolution with engineering, customer service, and other personnel to expedite repairs.
- Provides remote and on-site technical assistance to help troubleshoot and repair equipment.
- Submits complete service reports for customer invoicing.
- Submit expense reports within guidelines of company policy.
- Analyzes reports of technical problems to determine trends affecting future design, production, service, and maintenance processes, and recommends modifications to eliminate future problems.
- Develop service handbooks and bulletins based on field investigations, engineering changes, and overall knowledge of product.
- Provide a communication link between the customer and the company to help ensure that effective service is provided to the customer.
- Conducts training on Radiation Safety and the safe operation of the equipment and demonstrates skills to trainees, including both team members and customers
Education and/or Experience:
- Associate's degree (A. A.) in Electronics Technology or equivalent
- AND six months to one-year related experience and/or training.
- OR equivalent combination of education and experience.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
- Valid Driver's License and driving record which permits renting of vehicles.
- Personal Credit Card with ample credit to cover travel expenses (100% company reimbursed).
- Radiation Safety Certification
- Employee must submit to periodic drug screens

Salary : $55,000 - $85,000
