About the Internship: This is an unpaid, educational internship designed for students seeking academic credit. The primary goal of this program is to provide you with mentorship and hands-on training in building user communities and managing product communications for a tech startup.
You will leave this internship with a portfolio of community engagement campaigns, user documentation samples, and a letter of recommendation.
Duration: 3 months (Flexible scheduling: 10–15 hours/week)
What You Will Learn & Practice: Under the mentorship of our Growth Manager, you will gain experience in:
- Community Growth Strategy: Learning how to identify potential users and inviting them to join our user community ecosystem.
- Visual Communication: Utilizing AI tools and design software to create update posts (e.g., new feature launches) for social platforms.
- User Education & Documentation: Designing and documenting supplemental materials (tutorials, guides) to help users succeed with our platform.
- Engagement & Gamification: Managing our "Weekly Challenge" program across platforms. You will learn how to launch challenges, review user submissions in Discord, and provide constructive feedback to creators.
- Data tracking: Monitoring community health metrics and submission quality.
You Are a Great Fit If:
- You are a student in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field.
- You are legally authorized to work in the US (we welcome international students on CPT/OPT; however, we cannot sponsor new visas for this unpaid role).
- You have a strong understanding of Discord (roles, channels, bots) and community dynamics.
- You have an eye for design (Canva, Photoshop, or AI image generators).
- You are organized and capable of reviewing user-submitted content with attention to detail.
