POSITION DESCRIPTION
We are currently seeking a full-time Structural/Civil to sit in our West Des Moines, IA office. Our team works with local communities on a wide range of bridge projects. We are looking for a Professional Engineer or Engineer in Training who would work with CAD Technicians, Construction Observers, Land Survey Chiefs and office staff in various capacities.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepare detailed technical engineering reports.
- Prepare plans and specifications for specific projects.
- Work with Construction Observers/Resident Technicians during all facets of construction.
- Assist Project Manager in completing project within budget and on schedule.
- Perform structural design calculations.
- Use Bentley Microstation/OpenRoads and/or AutoCAD to aid with design and plan preparation.
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering required
- 1-5 years of civil/structural engineering design experience preferred/desired
- Iowa PE license or EIT certification or ability to obtain either within 6 months preferred
- Previous bridge design experience desired
- Strong written and verbal communication skills required
- Bridge inspection certification desired
- Master’s degree in Structural Engineering optional
- Proficiency with Bentley Microstation/OpenRoads and/or AutoCAD desired
