Overview:

Veeco is well-positioned with great teams, core technologies, and a strong entrepreneurial culture that supports new product development. Veeco is currently seeking a Lead Product Marketing Manager (PMM) to develop business, product and marketing plans for our award-winning laser anneal platforms. The candidate will collaborate with Engineering and other functional groups to create product roadmaps, strategies for market penetration, and product positioning. The candidate will also work to highlight the core differentiation of our products to drive revenue and market share gains.

The Lead PMM will also get the opportunity to work closely with multiple functional groups like applications, service, engineering, advanced technology to discover new opportunities for Veeco to add value either through new product development or existing product enhancements around our core technology. In this role, the Lead PMM is expected to interface with customers, engineering, applications, product support, sales and service.

Responsibilities:

• Develops business & marketing plans, assessesstrategies formarket penetration and product positioning to drive competitive advantage,revenueand market share

• Collaborates closelywithfunctional groups viaEngineering, Manufacturing,Sales to develop new products and enhance existing products as well as communicate critical market needs and timelinerequirements

• Understandstechnical and business aspects of customer device roadmaps / environments andassistswith the development of strategies to meet business objectives

• Drives Red Team/ competitiveanalysisfor specific product lines

• Understandspricing scenariosand contributestowardsbuildingand protectinga leadership position in market share while enhancing profit margins

• Works closely with Product Engineering/Applications / Process Development team to drive adoption ofContinuous Improvement Program features/ upgrades thatmaintainproductdifferentiationagainst competition

• Maintains a working knowledge of laser anneal systems process,hardwareandother aspectsto gain technical entitlement with customers

• Collaborateswith Field Account teamsto ensuresynergyin approachfor account partnership andproductpenetration

• Responsible for release of products/sub systemcomponentsthrough the end of their product life cycle

• Communicateskeyaspects ofproductto customers,senior managementand sales channelsas needed

Qualifications:

BS degree in Physics or Engineering and a minimum of 12 years of related experience; MS degree and 8 years of experience or a PhD and 5 years of experience is required. ExperiencewithTier1semiconductorcustomersisrequired.

Knowledge; Skills and Abilities:

• Demonstratedhistory of success in positioning and launchingsemiconductor capital equipment products that meet / exceed business objectives

• Proven ability to influence Cross Functional teams without formal authority

• Semiconductor device knowledge and module process integration experience in logic and/or memory fabrication preferred

• Understanding of Rapid Thermal Processing (RTP)/Implant/Diffusion process desirable

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Positive team player, self-motivated withcollaborative skillsrequired
• Must be able to travel within the US and other locations up to 20% of the time

Salary and Benefits
The expected salary range for this position is $171,000-$218,000, plus a bonus opportunity. We will consider your location, experience, and other job-related factors when determining your pay.
