Job description
Vedder Holsters is seeking a dependable, adaptable CNC Machinist to efficiently run, maintain, and optimize machine shop operations by interpreting blueprints, managing productive workflows, and troubleshooting technical issues from new tooling configurations to final product production.
Key Responsibilities
- Properly interpreting drawings, blueprints, and designs
- Hands-on approach
- Follow safety standards at all times
- Maintain productive workflow outlined by work boards [Work boards consist of: New tooling, Tooling edits, In house product production]
- Keep areas around machines clean and safe
- Check in with designers on prioritizing new tools/edits
- Keeping shop hands on task
Required Skills/Abilities
- Organization and attention to detail
- Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
- Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment
- Ability to multitask and prioritize
- Proficient in CNC software and Fusion 360
- Ability to operate CAD/CAM Fusion 320 software (A plus, not a must)
- Ability to trouble shoot basic CNC issues
- Experience with manual machining is a plus
- Ability to keep information and data accurate and organized
- Problem solving-recognize a problem and come up with a solution
- Strong drive and consistent practice of personal responsibility
- Desire and willingness to work as a team to accomplish goals

Supervisory Responsibilities
- Some supervision of shop hands may be required
Education and Experience
- Previous experience operating CNC Machines
- Minimum of 5 years prior experience using high-speed precision CNC machines
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Quick learner- see how things are done and be able to duplicate processes
- Good communication- working with engineers and other team members within the company
