We are a well-established printing and finishing company that has been in business for 70 years and continues to grow! We are looking for an experienced Bindery/Cutter Operator to join our team and help us maintain our reputation for excellence.
Job Description
This role is responsible for setting up and operating a programmable hydraulic cutter and various bindery equipment to produce high-quality finished products. The ideal candidate will have experience with saddle stitchers, folders, and cutters, ensuring efficiency and quality in every run.
Responsibilities:
✅ Set up and operate bindery equipment, including cutters, folders, and stitchers
✅ Examine job tickets and instructions to determine job sequence and schedule
✅ Maintain quality and production standards while minimizing waste
✅ Troubleshoot and correct mechanical or production issues in a timely manner
✅ Perform equipment maintenance and maintain a clean work area
✅ Ensure all finished products meet or exceed customer requirements
Qualifications:
- Strong mechanical background or inclination
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
- Experience operating and managing bindery equipment preferred
- Ability to lift, push, pull, or carry up to 50 lbs
- Strong attention to detail with visual acuity for small print, depth, and color perception
- Regular physical activity including bending, grasping, standing, twisting, and lifting
