Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Production Accounting Lead with a strong background in the Oil & Gas industry to oversee production accounting operations, data validation, and reporting. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with SCADA systems and production accounting tools such as ProCount or similar platforms. This role requires strong leadership, data accuracy, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage production accounting processes including daily, monthly, and annual reporting
Ensure accurate allocation, balancing, and reconciliation of oil, gas, and water volumes
Work closely with field operations, engineering, and finance teams to validate production data
Interpret and integrate data from SCADA systems into production accounting systems
Maintain and optimize production accounting systems such as ProCount, ProdView, P2 BOLO, or equivalent
Handle volume allocation, revenue distribution, and regulatory reporting
Perform data analysis, discrepancy resolution, and audit support
Develop and enforce internal controls and best practices for production data management
Mentor and guide junior production accountants and analysts
Support system upgrades, enhancements, and integrations
Required Skills & Qualifications:
15 years of experience in Production Accounting within Oil & Gas
Strong expertise in SCADA systems and data flow integration
Hands-on experience with ProCount, ProdView, P2 BOLO, or similar production accounting software
In-depth understanding of production allocation, measurement, and reporting processes
Strong knowledge of upstream operations (onshore/offshore)
Proficiency in Excel, SQL, and data analysis tools
Experience with regulatory reporting and compliance requirements
Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills
Proven experience in team leadership or lead role
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Engineering, or related field
Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.)
Exposure to data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau)
Knowledge of pipeline allocation and midstream accounting
