The Role
We are after a very analytic, strategic and proactive Procurement Manager to institute and head our procurement department. Your duties will encompass end-to- end sourcing and procurement of goods and services of all kinds to the VectraByte, including critical software licenses and IT equipment as well as professional services and office supplies.
This is a high-impact role. You will be designing processes upside down, streamlining our company wide expenditures, reducing supply chain risks and establishing a good relationship with our vendors that offer VectraBay a competitive edge.
What You Will Do (Responsibilities)
Strategy & Sourcing: Work out and implement extensive procurement strategies that are consistent with the growth goals of our company. On the one hand, find, assess, and acquire new suppliers, paying particular attention to tech vendors (SaaS, IaaS, hardware).
Negotiation and Contracts: Lead all the commercial and contract negotiations. Get good conditions of purchase and renewal, competitive prices, and good Service Level Agreements (SLAs) on all purchases and renewals.
Vendor Relationship Management: Become the key contact with all the key suppliers. Establish and sustain good, long-term relationships with vendors and bring in place a vehicle of monitoring and controlling supplier performance (KPIs, business reviews).
Process Optimization: Develop and establish a lean procure-to-pay (P2P) system. Manage purchase order (PO) system and make sure that all purchase operations are within the company policy and financial controls.
Stakeholder Collaboration: Work in close association with internal leaders in the various sections of the engineering, IT, finance, and operations to know their purchasing requirements, project their demand, and expert procurement advice.
Cost Analysis & Reporting: Evaluate expenditure reports and market conditions to establish notable cost-saving potential. Write periodic reports to the leadership about procurement metrics, savings and procurement risks.
Risk Management: Determine and overcome potential risks happening in our supply chain, to guarantee continuation of business and to adhere to every regulation.
What We Are Seeking (Qualifications)
Required:
Experience: 5 years or more of progressive experience in strategic sourcing, procurement or supply chain management.
Industry Experience: It is required to have proven skills in purchasing on behalf of a technology or software company. You should also feel free to negotiate SaaS agreements, clouds (e.g. AWS, Azure), and IT hardware.
Negotiation Skills: An excellent record of accomplishing difficult negotiations and providing quantifiable cost reductions.
Analytical Mind: Good analytical skills and problem-solving capabilities and can convert data into actionable knowledge.
Process-Oriented: Exposure to the development or optimization of the procurement processes (procure-to-pay).
Communication: Superior interpersonal and communication skills, capable of influencing and working with the senior level stakeholders.
Education: Undergraduate degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Finance or a related course.
Preferred (Nice-to-Have):
Professional procurement certification (e.g. CIPS, CPSM).
One year experience in the management and supervision of a junior procurement department.
Experience with e-sourcing/procurement software.
