Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain backend systems using Python, ensuring high performance, scalability, and security.
- Design system architecture and application workflows utilizing UML diagrams and system design principles for optimal efficiency.
- Implement RESTful APIs and web services to facilitate communication between distributed systems and external platforms.
- Collaborate with front-end developers to integrate UI components built with React, Angular, or other JavaScript frameworks.
- Conduct unit testing, debugging, and troubleshooting to ensure software quality and reliability across various environments like Linux and Windows.
- Utilize version control tools such as Git, SVN, or TFS to manage codebase changes effectively within the SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle).
- Participate in Agile development cycles, including sprint planning, stand-ups, code reviews, and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines using tools like Jenkins or Azure DevOps.
Experience
- Proven experience developing applications with Python in a professional setting, including developing backend systems and APIs.
- Strong understanding of software engineering principles such as OOP (Object-Oriented Programming), system design for distributed systems, and application scalability.
- Hands-on experience with databases like MySQL, PostgreSQL, Microsoft SQL Server, or MongoDB; including database design and query optimization using T-SQL or PL/SQL.
- Familiarity with front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript (including React.js or Angular), TypeScript, AJAX for full-stack development projects.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms like AWS or Azure for deploying scalable applications in distributed computing environments.
- Experience working within Agile teams utilizing tools such as Jira or TFS for project management and version control systems like GitHub or Bitbucket.
- Ability to implement RESTful APIs and web services using SOAP or WCF; experience with microservices architecture is a plus.
