Radar/EW/Sonar Engineering Technician

Position Summary

The Radar/EW/Sonar Engineering Technician provides specialized technical support in the assessment, troubleshooting, and repair oversight of radar, electronic warfare, sonar, and related shipboard systems. This position requires advanced electronics expertise, supported by mechanical and electrical knowledge, to ensure mission readiness of critical sensor and detection systems.

Experience: 3 or more years of experience

Clearance: Secret clearance

Key Responsibilities

• Perform inspections and diagnostics on radar, sonar, and EW systems.
• Oversee maintenance and repairs, ensuring all work meets Navy technical standards.
• Troubleshoot complex system faults and coordinate corrective maintenance.
• Interpret and apply equipment technical manuals, schematics, and engineering drawings.
• Prepare detailed reports of inspections, repairs, and operational status.
• Collaborate with shipboard personnel, contractors, and engineering teams.
  
  

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel.
• Working knowledge of Maintenance and Material Management (3M).
• Proven experience with Navy radar, sonar, EW, or similar military sensor systems.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical/electrical schematics.
• Active or eligible for Secret Security Clearance.
• Willingness to travel to shipyards, ports, and at-sea assignments.
