Equipment / Fleet Manager
Our Client, A leading construction & infrastructure organization (50 years) is hiring an Equipment / Fleet Manager to oversee heavy equipment and construction vehicle fleets, ensuring safety, reliability, and DOT compliance. Ideal candidates have a heavy equipment mechanic background and strong fleet maintenance experience.
What You’ll Do
- Manage daily fleet/equipment operations and availability for projects
- Ensure DOT and company safety requirements are met
- Schedule/track PMs, inspections, and repairs (internal vendors)
- Coordinate repairs to minimize downtime
- Monitor utilization, performance, and costs; drive improvements
- Maintain accurate service/inspection records
- Review quotes, negotiate pricing, and manage parts procurement
- Support lifecycle planning (replacement/acquisitions)
What We’re Looking For
- 10 years in heavy equipment maintenance/fleet management (or similar)
- Strong knowledge of heavy equipment commercial vehicles
- Working knowledge of DOT regulations
- Strong communication, organization, and vendor negotiation skills
- Ability to travel as needed and lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
