Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Safety and Compliance Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring that our organization adheres to all regulatory OSHA safety requirements and internal compliance policies. This position is essential for maintaining compliance with industry standards, particularly in manufacturing, occupational health, and environmental regulations. The Safety and Compliance Specialist will be responsible for developing and implementing safety programs, compliance programs, conducting audits, and providing training to staff.
Duties
- Develop, implement, and oversee compliance programs to ensure adherence to relevant laws and regulations including OSHA, EPA, and Workers' Compensation laws.
- Conduct regular audits and inspections to identify potential compliance issues and areas for improvement.
- Perform root cause analysis on compliance failures and recommend corrective actions.
- Prepare detailed reports on compliance status, findings from audits, and recommendations for improvements.
- Provide training and development sessions for employees on compliance-related topics such as EHS (Environmental Health and Safety), first aid, CPR, and occupational health practices.
- Collaborate with various departments to ensure that compliance measures are integrated into operational processes.
- Stay updated on changes in regulations affecting the organization’s operations and communicate these changes effectively to relevant stakeholders.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a compliance role within the manufacturing sector is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, EPA standards, Workers' Compensation law, and other relevant compliance frameworks.
- Excellent report writing skills with the ability to present complex information clearly.
- Certification in First Aid and CPR is preferred; additional EHS certifications are a plus.
- Experience in training & development related to compliance topics is beneficial.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to conduct root cause analysis effectively.
- Exceptional attention to detail with strong organizational skills.

Pay: $58,000.00 - $72,000.00 per year
