- Minimum 5 years professional experience in quality engineering ;
- Minimum 5 years professional experience in test automation ;
- Minimum 5 years professional experience in software testing or related software engineering roles .
- Experience designing scalable test automation frameworks, reusable test components, and quality tooling for multi-team environments ;
- Familiarity with consumer-driven contract testing and service virtualization approaches ;
- Experience managing stable, realistic, and compliant test data across environments ;
- Strong exploratory testing mindset for discovering edge cases and hidden quality risks not covered by automation ;
- Experience with Azure Pipelines, Test Plans, and release governance ;
- Awareness of containers, Kubernetes, microservices, and distributed-system quality challenges ;
- Experience with Azure Monitor, Application Insights, Log Analytics, Grafana, or equivalent platforms ;
- Familiarity with infrastructure as code and understanding how environment changes affect testing and release quality ;
- Experience validating Databricks jobs, notebooks, Delta Lake data, and workflow orchestration ;
- Ability to validate schema correctness, data completeness, reconciliation logic, and consistency across upstream and downstream processing ;
- Experience testing reporting, dashboards, derived data products, or business intelligence outputs ;
- Working knowledge of OWASP Top 10, API security risks, authentication and authorization validation, and secure test design ;
- Awareness of auditability, traceability, and evidence requirements in regulated or high-assurance environments ;
- Understanding of data handling, access controls, masking, and privacy considerations in test and production-like environments ;
- Experience working in Agile or Scrum teams, participating in backlog refinement, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives ;
- Ability to influence engineering practices, promote standards, and improve quality culture across teams ;
- Comfortable communicating quality risks, trade-offs, and recommendations to management and non-technical stakeholders ;
- ISTQB Advanced Level certifications (Test Automation Engineer, Test Analyst, or Test Manager) ;
- Azure certifications (Microsoft Azure Fundamentals, Azure Developer Associate, Azure DevOps Engineer Expert, or equivalent) ;
- Relevant training or certifications in performance testing, secure testing, or cloud quality engineering ;
- Experience working in regulated, defense , or mission-critical software environments with formal quality, accreditation, or assurance expectations .
- Defining and maintaining quality strategies, test plans, release-readiness criteria, and quality gates for web applications, APIs, Azure services, and Databricks-based workflows ;
- Identifying critical business and technical risks, prioritizing validation effort, and ensuring high-impact workflows receive appropriate coverage ;
- Establishing traceability from requirements to test coverage, defect trends, and release decisions ;
- Promoting preventive quality practices across the engineering organization without blocking delivery ;
- Designing and maintaining automated tests for browser-based applications and critical end-to-end user journeys using tools such as Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, or equivalent ;
- Building automated validation for REST APIs, service contracts, authentication flows, and integration points ;
- Verifying interactions across frontend, backend, cloud services, and external dependencies ;
- Maintaining stable and effective regression suites, reducing flaky tests, and improving feedback speed in delivery pipelines ;
- Validating business workflows, navigation, role-based behavior, session handling, error handling, and cross-browser behavior for Mainsail ;
- Collaborating with product and design teams to ensure the platform supports consistent and usable user experiences ;
- Ensuring awareness of common web application risks such as broken access control, injection, cross-site scripting, CSRF, and insecure session handling, and supporting secure delivery through test coverage ;
- Embedding automated quality checks into Azure DevOps or equivalent CI/CD platforms ;
- Defining pass/fail criteria for builds, deployments, and environment promotions based on automated test outcomes and risk thresholds ;
- Supporting go/no-go decisions with clear evidence on system quality, test coverage, defect risk, and operational readiness ;
- Ensuring quality validation begins early in the lifecycle through requirement reviews, testability input, and early automation design ;
- Testing applications and services deployed on Microsoft Azure, including App Services, Functions, storage, messaging, identity integrations, and monitoring flows ;
- Verifying behavior across development, test, staging, and production-like environments ;
- Validating logging, observability, health checks, alerting behavior, and configuration integrity in Azure-hosted systems ;
- Understanding how infrastructure, deployment models, and managed services affect quality outcomes ;
- Planning and supporting load, concurrency, response-time, and scalability validation for web applications and APIs ;
- Verifying retry behavior, graceful degradation, fault handling, and operational recovery under failure conditions ;
- Ensuring the system is robust under realistic usage and failure scenarios ;
- Supporting DAST, vulnerability validation, and secure-release readiness in collaboration with security teams ;
- Investigating failed tests, escaped defects, and production incidents to identify root causes and preventive actions ;
- Defining and tracking metrics such as automation coverage, flaky test rates, defect leakage, execution stability, and release readiness.
