We’re looking for an HR Specialist to join our growing team — someone who is detail-oriented, proactive, and passionate about creating a great employee experience while ensuring compliance and operational excellence in all HR functions.

What You’ll Do
As an HR Specialist, you will play a key role in supporting day-to-day HR operations and ensuring smooth delivery of HR programs and initiatives across our U.S. and Canadian teams.

Your responsibilities will include:
  • HR Administration & Compliance: Maintain employee records, ensure HR policies and practices comply with U.S. federal and state laws, and Canadian legislation.
  • Recruitment & Onboarding: Support end-to-end recruitment for select roles, coordinate interviews, assist with job fairs and recruiting events, and facilitate onboarding and orientation.
  • HRIS Management: Maintain accurate employee data in the HRIS and generate reports as needed.
  • Employee Relations: Provide guidance and support to employees on HR-related inquiries, policies, and processes.
  • Policy & Procedure Development: Assist with drafting and updating company policies, handbooks, and procedures to ensure consistency and compliance.
  • Benefits Administration: Support the administration of U.S. employee benefits (health, retirement, leave programs, etc.) and assist with Canadian benefits as needed.
  • HR Projects: Contribute to special HR initiatives such as engagement programs, training coordination, and process improvements.

What You’ll Bring
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Experience: 2–5 years of progressive HR experience, ideally in a generalist or HR coordinator role.
  • Knowledge:
    • Solid understanding of US employment laws and HR best practices.
    • Experience or familiarity with Canadian HR practices is a strong asset.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, attention to detail, discretion, and a solutions-oriented mindset.
  • Certifications: PHR, SHRM-CP, or equivalent certification is an asset.
