We have an immediate need for a Business Development Manager to identify and expand embedded software opportunities, helping us to develop next generation solutions and manage customer relationships to facilitate long-term partnerships. You will be utilizing your deep embedded software technical knowledge to:

  • Business Strategy & Development
  • Drive and execute strategic business development plans for assigned product line
  • Identify and create both new and add-on business opportunities with target OEMs and Tier-1s
  • Strategically build customer relationships from technical to executive management stakeholders.
  • Customer Relationship Management
  • Act as the primary point of contact facilitating revenue growth targets and issue resolution
  • Build trusted advisor relationships by positioning the company as an innovation partner and aligning our solutions with customer strategies
  • Lead regular executive business reviews
  • Business Development Management
  • Work with account management to follow opportunities through to a sale including issue resolutions, customer satisfaction, and product deliveries
  • Create customer presentations and technical articles, develop webinars, participate in congresses and trade fairs
  • Internal Collaboration
  • Work closely with product line management and customer sales teams to deliver customer-focused solutions
  • Ensure smooth execution of product deliveries and high customer satisfaction
  • Provide market and customer feedback to influence product roadmaps
  • Market & Industry Insight
  • Monitor automotive electronic and software technology trends (electrification, ADAS, connectivity, software-defined vehicles)
  • Provide intelligence on competitor offerings, customer strategies, and market shifts

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in business, Engineering, Computer Science, or related discipline; MBA a plus
  • Experience:
    • Minimum 7-10 years in strategic automotive/electronics/software business development or sales
    • Successful experience with working with Automotive OEM /Tier One Suppliers and related industries
    • Knowledge of Software Platforms and networking standards for Automotive and other industries
    • Ability to recognize, develop and propose embedded software solutions to existing or potential customers
    • Good understanding of the embedded software builds processes.
    • Experience with long-cycle sales and complex solution selling
  • Knowledge & Skills:
    • Strong understanding of automotive industry challenges (EV, ADAS, connected services, digital platforms)
    • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, presentation, and communication skills
    • Ability to influence and build consensus with stakeholders at all levels
    • Strategic mindset with execution discipline including follow up and time management
    • Ability to work effectively with local and global cross-functional teams
    • Ability to travel 20 to 40% as needed
