Job Description:
Key Responsibilities:
· Install, terminate, label, and test structured cabling systems (CAT6/CAT6A, fiber optic – SM/MM)
· Support cabling for LAN, Wi Fi, voice, CCTV, access control, nurse call, and medical devices
· Perform cable testing, certification, troubleshooting, and remediation
· Maintain accurate as-built documentation, labeling, port mapping, and rack layouts
· Coordinate with network, desktop, biomedical, and facilities teams during deployments and upgrades
· Support hospital IT projects including wards, clinics, labs, OTs, data centers, and clinics
· Ensure adherence to hospital safety, infection control, and change management standards
· Work within defined SLA, incident, and service request processes
Technical Skills:
· Hands-on experience in structured cabling (Copper & Fiber)
· Knowledge of fiber splicing, OTDR testing, and cable certification tools
· Experience with racks, patch panels, cable trays, and conduits
· Basic understanding of network connectivity and LAN infrastructure
· Ability to read floor plans and network diagrams
· Healthcare Environment Experience (Preferred)
· Experience working in live hospital or clinical environments
· Understanding of patient safety, infection control, and low-voltage systems
· Ability to work in 24x7, mission-critical operations
Experience & Qualifications:
· 2–5 years experience in structured cabling or network infrastructure
· Healthcare, hospital, or mission-critical environment experience preferred
· Certifications (Preferred)
· Structured Cabling Certification (BICSI / OEM)
· Fiber Optic Technician Certification
· ITIL Foundation / Safety certifications (good to have)
Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour
