Job Description:
- This role requires a seasoned IT professional with 13 years of experience and a deep focus on Azure Database Migration:
- Lead, manage, and govern technical teams, providing 24x7 support and maintaining flexibility with shift work to accommodate global operations.
- Spearhead the design and execution of end-to-end Azure Database Migrations (5 years of specialized experience), including large-scale and complex solutions.
- Expertly configure and administer SQL Server HADR (FCI/AG) in Azure across multiple subnets and regions, including Availability Sets.
- Utilize a comprehensive toolkit (DMA, DMS, Azure Data Studio, Log Shipping, etc.) to migrate all versions of SQL Server (200x to 2022) from On-Premises to Azure Cloud.
- Design, implement, and operate database systems in Azure for optimal performance, reliability, storage, and capacity management.
- Configure and administer robust Security Policies, Resource Governance, and Azure Key Vault to ensure a secure cloud environment.
- Collaborate effectively with internal and customer stakeholders to gather requirements, plan migrations, and deliver optimal cloud solutions.
- Proficiently use T-SQL and PowerShell scripting for database administration and automation tasks.
- Demonstrate expertise in troubleshooting and resolving issues across both Windows and SQL Server environments.
- Possess strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with preferred certifications including DP-300 and AZ-305.
