This is a full-time Division Registered Nurse position specializing in Urology at VCU Health. The role is based on-site in Richmond, VA. The Registered Nurse will provide comprehensive patient care by assessing, planning, and implementing treatments across the urology specialty. Key responsibilities include coordinating patient care, administering medications and treatments, performing diagnostic assessments, educating patients and families, and collaborating with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to ensure quality care and positive patient outcomes.
Qualifications
- Strong clinical skills in patient assessment, diagnostic evaluations, and administering urology-related treatments
- Proficiency in patient education, health promotion, and care coordination
- Effective communication, time management, and critical thinking skills
- Ability to work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team
- Active RN license in the state of Virginia or eligibility for licensure
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred; Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) considered
- Current BLS and other relevant certifications depending on specialty requirements
- Experience in urology or related field is a plus
