The Cost Reporting Analyst prepares preliminary portions of the Hospital’s Annual Medicare Cost Report. This job prepares and completes all aspects of the State required Indigent Care Cost Report consistent with federal and state regulations. This job handles all audit requests/inquiries related to the Indigent Care Cost Report. This job also assists with any audits of the Governmental Cost Reports.
Licensure, Certification, or Registration Requirements for Hire: N/A Licensure, Certification, or Registration Requirements for continued employment: N/A Experience REQUIRED: Minimum of three (3) years of accounting, finance, business work experience Experience PREFERRED: Previous financial work experience in a healthcare setting with emphasis in cost reporting Education/training REQUIRED: Bachelors Degree in Finance, Business Administration or closely related field Education/training PREFERRED: Masters Degree in Finance, Business Administration or closely related field Independent action(s) required: Handles all audit requests/inquiries related to the Indigent Care Cost Report. Prepares and completes all aspects of the State required Indigent Care Cost Report. Supervisory responsibilities (if applicable): N/A Additional position requirements: N/A Age Specific groups served: N/A Physical Requirements (includes use of assistance devices as appropriate): Physical: Lifting less than 20 lbs. This role is focused on data entry, document compilation, audit evidence gathering, and basic regulatory research.
This position is ideal for an early career professional who is detail oriented, comfortable with repetitive tasks, and interested in learning healthcare reimbursement from the ground up.

Compensation Range
$58,697.60 - $87,942.40
