About the Role
As a Veterinary Assistant (VA), you will support our team by creating a positive, low-stress atmosphere for our patients and clients. Duties will include:
- Compassionate patient care
- Client education and care
- Obtaining patient history from clients
- Filling prescriptions
- Preparing the suite, surgery, and dentistry patients
- Performing laboratory work and diagnostic imaging
- Maintaining medical records
- Safe and effective patient handling and restraint

Other Duties
- Assist veterinarians and veterinary technicians in providing care for animals
- Administer medications as directed
- Prepare and process laboratory samples for testing
- Clean and sanitize kennels, exam rooms, and surgical areas
- Provide pet care including feeding, grooming, and exercise
- Handle dogs and other animals in a safe and compassionate manner
- Provide support in veterinary critical care situations

- Previous experience as a veterinary assistant or in a related field preferred
- Knowledge of animal handling techniques and behavior
- Familiarity with basic laboratory procedures and equipment
- Ability to follow instructions and work effectively in a team environment
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
