Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Veterinary Assistant to join our team.
In this position, you will support our Doctors and the Technician team by creating a positive, low-stress atmosphere for our clients and patients.
Duties will include and are not limited too:
- Providing compassionate care and a home away from home for boarded and hospitalized pets.
- Maintaining medical records.
- Filling prescriptions.
- Performing laboratory work and diagnostic imaging.
- Preparing surgical equipment, suites and surgical patients.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a veterinary assistant or in a related role is required
- Knowledge of animal physiology and common medical terminology
- Ability to handle animals with proper technique, care, and patience
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with pet owners and the veterinary team
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $22.00 - $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
