What are the responsibilities and job description for the Veterinary Technician Surgery position at VCA Animal Hospitals?
VCA South Shore Weymouth Animal Hospital is seeking a skilled Surgery Veterinary Technician to join our team at our busy, 24-hour emergency/referral/multi-specialty and general practice in South Weymouth, Massachusetts.

Compensation: $25.00 - $38.00 / hour for a CVT. based on skill set, experience and licensure status. Experienced Veterinary Assistants welcome to apply.
Schedule: Mostly weekdays, and rotating weekends.
Surgery Licensed Veterinary Technician Duties:
- Procedural anesthesia monitoring
- Ability to calculate drug doses
- Full Technician Skill Utilization, bronchoscopy, endoscopes, and more!
- Collecting patient histories & thorough physical exams
- Venipuncture / IVC placement
- Hands Free Radiology (Associate safety a top priority)
- Working collaboratively with team members of all hospital services
- Providing compassionate care for all patients
- Paid on-call availability
- Ability to work additional hours if necessary
- Minimum 1 year experience

Credentialed Technician is a plus but we will also support the right candidate in their pursuit of CVT or VTS credentialing.
